Bybit Integrates Apple Pay for Secure Crypto Purchases

Bybit, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has made a major move by integrating Apple Pay into its platform. This integration aims to provide users with a safer, more secure, and private way to purchase crypto through the Bybit app or website.

Security and privacy are top priorities for Bybit and Apple Pay users, and this integration addresses many security concerns. Joan Han, Sales and Marketing Director at Bybit, expressed excitement about offering Apple Pay as a checkout option, stating that it enhances the payment experience with unmatched security and convenience.

With this integration, users can make purchases on their iPhone, iPad, and Mac, streamlining the checkout process by eliminating the need to create accounts or repeatedly enter shipping and billing information. Additionally, the Bybit card allows for automatic conversion of cryptocurrencies into fiat for card payments and ATM withdrawals, supporting five cryptos including Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Apple Pay is renowned for its security features, with each transaction authenticated using Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode, along with a unique dynamic security code. This initiative is aimed at making the process of buying crypto more accessible and cost-effective for Bybit customers.

Furthermore, when using Apple Pay, customer credit or debit card numbers are not stored on the device or Apple’s servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted, and securely stored in a chip designed to store payment information safely on the device.

Currently, Bybit users can buy cryptocurrencies using over 20 different fiat currencies without incurring any transaction fees until July 1, 2024, at 10 AM UTC. This integration of Apple Pay into the Bybit platform represents a significant leap forward in providing seamless, secure, and innovative financial solutions to the global market.
